As a member of The General Federation of Women?s Clubs, and the California Federation of Women?s Clubs, our clubs benefit from the policies and procedures outlined for club organization, leadership, the many educational programs provided, and recognition, by being associated with this influential international organization.
In 1958, Southern District was the last district to be formed for CFWC. A portion of San Diego County, it covers the areas of Bonita, Coronado, El Cajon, Imperial Beach, Lakeside, La Mesa, National City, Rolando, San Ysidro and Spring Valley. Presently, we have 13 clubs in Southern District .
The district is governed by a board of directors, consisting of all the club presidents and delegates, and guided by an executive board of elected officers. Our executive board president for CFWC Southern District is Barbara Nelson.
The purpose is to provide a conduit for Communication from CFWC; and to give leadership, guidance and assistance to all the clubs in the district.
Southern District is one of 6 districts which make up Area D, Being all of Southern California: Orange, San Bernadino, De Anza, Palomar, San Diego and Southern District. Area D is under the leadership of CFWC Area D Vice President Regina Mattox.
